Aid Fall Prevention in the Elderly and Infirm with the Live-Link Movement Sensor

The Live-Link call bell system has been used at Ben Alexandra House Care Centre for over 6 years. During this time we have found the company to be very helpful and always provide a speedy backup and maintenance service. The installation for our 56 bedded care home took approx 3 days and the Live-Link team worked efficiently and showed a great deal of respect towards the residents. The Live-Link system is very reliable and easy to use for both staff and the residents. As the units can be moved around the home this ensures that the residents always have access to their call bell, which has helped promote their independence. Now that the sensor beam has been developed this enables the staff to be confident caring for people who are prone to falls, or become restless in bed at night. It has certainly reduced the risk of falls at Alexandra House. I would recommend the Live-Link system.

Having recently completed a free 7 day trial of the Live Link Movement Sensor, I am impressed with the versatility of the unit, its ease of use for staff and most importantly its effectiveness and cost, I would strongly recommend this unit to others.

We are a 22 bedded care home for elderly ladies & gents plus those who suffer from dementia. We have several of the new sensors in place in service users bedrooms. They are very versatile and also very reliable. Excellent all round. They give us peace of mind throughout the night & day.

I would like to express my satisfaction with the detector sensor supplied by Live Link. I have had the sensor for a few months now and I have found it robust, reliable and flexible. The residents I care for all have dementia, some residents like to wander around the home during the night and this sensor allows them to do this safely as the sensor alerts staff and allows them to respond to the residents needs quickly, reducing the risk of falls. I have tried other systems but have found that they damage easily, either through staff or residents pulling at the wiring. This system operates by tapping the button with your foot therefore it is quick to operate and reset and it can be used in numerous positions. If the wires are tampered with it is easy to reset the system with no damage to the wiring. This is an excellent system which I would recommend to any other health care setting.

I was approached by Live-Link to have a free demonstration of their equipment. We used it for a couple of weeks and found it to be very efficient. We then ordered 5 bed sensors and 3 chair sensors. Service has been excellent and we have placed an order for more.

Beryl Skidmore, Manager, Rockley Dene Residential Home, Barnsley

I recommend Thomas highly. The units purchased provide additional security and safety for our service users. He is able to respond to our needs immediately and has given us a 24 hour delivery of goods.
